| CHAMP stands for “Conservation,
Health And Management
Program,”an acronym that reflects the service’s
commitment to environmentally sensitive landscape management. Our degreed
Horticulturists, the Champions, takes a pro-active approach to comprehensive
plant health management in solving landscape problems on a monthly, bi-monthly
or quarterly frequency. “Horticulture and Art as one expression,”
is the guiding principle for CHAMP. Horticulture is the tool that
makes the plant healthy and works within the composition of the entire landscape,
the Art. It is not only the understanding of the relationship between plants
to create color and textural contrasts, but also the ability to make the
relationship happen. The integration of Horticulture and Art is what makes
CHAMP unique. |
